In the US, only 8.8% of Fortune 500 companies are led by women. This unequal gap is due to the lack of female business leaders. How do we close this gap? We start with the youth. Our mission is to enable early opportunities for teen girls to create habits and experiences to become the next generation of female leaders. Through interactions with prominent female business leaders in Naperville, teen girls will get insights on how to break barriers effectively to rise to the top. We engage in a variety of interactive activities and discussions to prepare ourselves for the business world. NRWIB consists of girls ages 14-18 who reside in the Naperville area that meet two sessions a month on a Saturday to grow into confident leaders. Together, we hope to build ourselves into strong leaders.

Most importantly, they will learn how to break barriers through habits that are holding them back. NRWIB bases its program on the award-winning leadership book "How Women Rise" by Salley Helgesen and Marshall Goldsmith. This book entails 12 habits that hold back women from reaching leadership positions. By the end of the program, we hope to overcome these 12 habits to build us into stronger leaders!
Each member will walk away with a skill set that they can apply in every field or situation they are in. We value creating young women into problem-solvers, creators, speakers, and leaders.
We will meet 2 times a month, on a Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM @ Naperville Bank & Trust: 555 Fort Hill Dr, Naperville, IL 60540
